Data Deletion Instructions

MKVID uses YouTube API Services. You can revoke MKVID’s access to your Google and YouTube data at any time on the Google security settings page (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Your data is handled as described in the Google Privacy Policy and the MKVID Privacy Policy. MKVID completes deletion requests within 7 calendar days.

1. Overview

At MKVID, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page provides clear instructions on how to request the deletion of your data from our platform, in compliance with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR and CCPA.

When you connect your TikTok or YouTube account to MKVID, we store limited data necessary to operate our API-based publishing service. You have the right to request deletion of this data at any time.

2. What Data We Store

MKVID stores only the minimum data required to provide our content distribution service:

OAuth Access & Refresh Tokens — Used to authenticate your connected TikTok and YouTube accounts.
Platform User Information — Your TikTok display name, nickname, avatar URL, and open_id; or your YouTube channel name and channel ID.
Account Data — Your MKVID account email and associated configuration preferences.
Content Metadata — Titles, descriptions, hashtags, and scheduling data for content published through MKVID. Video files are transmitted directly to the target platform and are not permanently stored on MKVID servers.

3. How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your data from MKVID through the following methods:

1 Revoke TikTok Access

Disconnect MKVID from your TikTok account by navigating to TikTok Settings > Security > Manage App Permissions. This immediately invalidates our access tokens and prevents any further interaction with your TikTok account.

2 Revoke YouTube Access

Revoke MKVID's access to your YouTube channel via Google Account Permissions. This revokes all API access tokens associated with your Google/YouTube account.

3 Request Complete Data Erasure

To request full deletion of your account, tokens, and all associated data from MKVID servers, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your MKVID account.

4. What Happens After Deletion

Once your deletion request is processed:

All OAuth access and refresh tokens are permanently destroyed.
Your platform user data (display names, avatars, channel IDs) is erased from our database.
Your MKVID account credentials and preferences are permanently removed.
Content metadata (titles, tags, scheduling records) is purged from our systems.
Any cached or temporary data is automatically cleared.

Processing Time: We process all data deletion requests within 7 calendar days. You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.

5. Data Retention Exceptions

In certain limited circumstances, we may retain minimal data as required by law:

Legal Obligations — If retention is required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
Fraud Prevention — Anonymized records necessary to prevent abuse of our API services.
Aggregated Analytics — Non-personally identifiable, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to any individual user.

6. Third-Party Data

Content that has already been published to TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram via MKVID becomes the property of the respective platform and is governed by their data policies. Deleting your data from MKVID does not remove content previously published to these platforms. To remove published content, you must do so directly on each platform.
