Data Deletion Instructions

MKVID uses YouTube API Services. You can revoke MKVID’s access to your Google and YouTube data at any time on the Google security settings page (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Your data is handled as described in the Google Privacy Policy and the MKVID Privacy Policy. MKVID completes deletion requests within 7 calendar days.

1. Overview

At MKVID, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page provides clear instructions on how to request the deletion of your data from our platform, in compliance with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR and CCPA.

When you connect your TikTok, YouTube, Facebook or Instagram account to MKVID, we store limited data necessary to operate our API-based publishing service. You have the right to request deletion of this data at any time.

2. What Data We Store

MKVID stores only the minimum data required to provide our content distribution service:

OAuth Access & Refresh Tokens — Used to authenticate your connected TikTok and YouTube accounts.
Facebook & Instagram Data — Page ID, name, picture and Page access token; Instagram professional account ID, username and profile picture; and the IDs, status and permalinks of the videos MKVID publishes. In the web publishing screens the tokens stay in your browser's memory for the session and are not stored on MKVID servers; for distribution MKVID operates on a creator's behalf with their authorization, the Page access token is stored on MKVID servers with restricted access.
TikTok Publication Status — The publish ID and status TikTok returns for a post, kept only in the memory of the MKVID service (never written to disk) and discarded as described in Section 3.3 of our Privacy Policy.
Platform User Information — Your TikTok open_id (your TikTok display name and avatar are requested from TikTok when needed and are not stored); or your YouTube channel name and channel ID.
Account Data — Your MKVID account email and associated configuration preferences.
Content Metadata — Titles, descriptions, hashtags, and scheduling data for content published through MKVID. Video files are transmitted directly to the target platform and are not permanently stored on MKVID servers.

3. How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your data from MKVID through the following methods:

1 Revoke TikTok Access

Disconnect MKVID from your TikTok account by navigating to TikTok Settings > Security > Manage App Permissions. This immediately invalidates our access tokens and prevents any further interaction with your TikTok account.

2 Revoke YouTube Access

Revoke MKVID's access to your YouTube channel via Google Account Permissions. This revokes all API access tokens associated with your Google/YouTube account.

3 Request Complete Data Erasure

To request full deletion of your account, tokens, and all associated data from MKVID servers, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the email address associated with your MKVID account.

Instagram Login connections

For a direct Instagram Login connection, the access token is kept only in memory in your connected MKVID browser tabs. Authorization codes and tokens are processed in memory during the server exchange and are never stored or logged. Only a random login state is saved temporarily in sessionStorage and removed on return; codes and tokens are never saved there. The Instagram app secret stays in the server environment; it is never sent to the browser or logged. Choose Disconnect these tabs on the connected Instagram screen, or close the connected tabs, to clear the token. To revoke MKVID's authorization, remove MKVID in Instagram's Apps and Websites settings. To request deletion of other MKVID data, email [email protected] with the subject Data deletion request and include the Instagram username.

3A. Delete your Facebook and Instagram data from MKVID

Use any of the three options below. This section is also the data deletion instructions for the MKVID app on Facebook and Instagram.

1 Remove MKVID in Facebook Business integrations

In Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, find MKVID and choose Remove. This ends MKVID's access to your Pages and linked Instagram professional accounts.

2 Disconnect inside MKVID

Open Account & Data (mkvid.com/app/settings/) and choose Disconnect Facebook.

3 Email us

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request", from the email address of your account, and include the name of your Facebook Page.

What is deleted: the Facebook Page access token and the Facebook and Instagram account identifiers MKVID holds (Page ID, name and picture; Instagram account ID, username and profile picture). When: within 7 calendar days. Confirmation: we confirm by email when the deletion is complete. Publishing records (destination, post ID, time) are kept for up to 12 months for support and then deleted.

3B. Delete your TikTok data from MKVID

Use any of the options below, or step 1 and step 3 in Section 3 above.

Revoke in TikTok: TikTok app → Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions → MKVID.
Disconnect inside MKVID: Account & Data (mkvid.com/app/settings/) → Disconnect TikTok.
Email us: [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request", from the email address of your account.

What is deleted: choosing Disconnect immediately deletes the TikTok OAuth tokens and open_id stored for that session, the temporary videos uploaded in it and its in-memory publication status, and asks TikTok to revoke MKVID’s access. MKVID does not store your TikTok display name or avatar, and keeps no TikTok publishing records on disk. Email requests: completed within 7 calendar days, with confirmation by email.

4. What Happens After Deletion

Once your deletion request is processed:

All OAuth access and refresh tokens are permanently destroyed.
Your platform user data (display names, avatars, channel IDs) is erased from our database.
Your MKVID account credentials and preferences are permanently removed.
Content metadata (titles, tags, scheduling records) is purged from our systems, except the minimal publishing records described in the retention exceptions (destination, post ID and time), which are kept for up to 12 months for support and then deleted.
Any cached or temporary data is automatically cleared.

Processing Time: We process all data deletion requests within 7 calendar days. You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.

5. Data Retention Exceptions

In certain limited circumstances, we may retain minimal data as required by law:

Legal Obligations — If retention is required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
Fraud Prevention — Anonymized records necessary to prevent abuse of our API services.
Publishing Records — For Facebook and Instagram, the destination, post ID and time of posts MKVID published are kept for up to 12 months for support and then deleted. TikTok publication status is kept only in memory (see Section 3B).
Aggregated Analytics — Non-personally identifiable, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to any individual user.

6. Third-Party Data

Content that has already been published to TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram via MKVID becomes the property of the respective platform and is governed by their data policies. Deleting your data from MKVID does not remove content previously published to these platforms. To remove published content, you must do so directly on each platform.
